HomeStyle Fascias Ltd was established in 1995 by Andrew Franklin, MD. As the Soffit and Fascia market grew, Andrew realised the problems that double glazing companies were having installing roofline products to the correct specifications using unskilled window fitters. He realised then, something that is now widely accepted, which is that Soffit and Fascias installations must be undertaken by skilled roofing joiners not window fitters.
HomeStyle is now the largest and most successful installer of roofline products within the areas of Nottinghamshire, Mansfield, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Worksop, Derbyshire and Newark.
The company's success is due to recommendations from customers, who are extremely satisfied with the service and products provided by HomeStyle and seem keen to advise family and friends alike.
Some Things We Don't Do
We never over clad any part of the installation even though many of our competitors do.
- We do not use the cheap 'hollow clad' tongue in groove effect soffit board even though it is less than a third of the cost of the solid board we use.
- We never offer a different quality of job for less money to those who cannot afford our prices. We believe that there is only one way to do a job and that's the right way. We are aware that other companies do this but would rather not get the job than have to cut corners. In the end, it's our reputation at risk.
- We never ask for more money when we find rotten rafter feet or broken tiles.
- We don't run away from problems. Sometimes we make mistakes but we always own up and put them right.
Choosing The Right Installer
There is no doubt that choosing the right installer could make all the difference to your installation. You should conduct your own research about any installer, checking their references and testimonials. Below you will find the type of questions that you should ask yourself:
Has the company been trading over 5 years?
It's a proven fact that most business failures occur within the first 5 years of trading. We were established in 1995.
Is it a limited company with published records?
Anyone can set up a new business as a sole trader. The laws for a limited company are much stricter and directors are held responsible.
Do they deal with just one manufacturer that gives them back up should a problem occur?
Because HomeStyle have been using the same manufacturer for many years, on the occasions there have been a product quality issue we have simply done the job again, other companies just walk away due to the costs involved.
Are they authorised installers and does any one check the quality of their work?
HomeStyle are approved installers and periodically the product manufacturers inspect the finished installations to ensure we are keeping abreast of the latest standards.
Do they have their own fleet of sign written vehicles?
Many companies use sub-contractors, a "man with a van" to save money. At HomeStyle we have our own high skilled installers and sign written vans.
Do they trade from a real business address or someone's back bedroom?
Many smaller companies pretend they are big professional companies when really they work out of someone's home (they may even rent the home), when they move on so does your guarantee.
Can you speak to previous customers?
At HomeStyle we encourage you to speak with our previous customers as they will give you the truth about us, whereas when we tell you about ourselves you may think it's too good to be true.
Do they happily give you access to a completed installation list so you can view previous installations?
With several thousand installations completed over twelve years, we will happily give you access to our installation list for you to inspect our work at your leisure.
Do they have a valid consumer credit licence?
You cannot obtain one of these if you have a bad credit history. We do have a consumer credit licence which you are welcome to inspect.
Are there contracts of sale legal giving you all the rights you are entitled to?
Our contracts have been inspected by Nottingham Trading Standards and are deemed fair and legal.
Can they install within a couple of weeks?
Any company that can do this does not have a lot of work on. Why? Quality, Price and Service problems may be. If this continues and they go under what about your guarantee? We have always had a minimum of an 8 week turn around.
